Gminne Gimnazjum im.JPII

Gminne Gimnazjum in Wieliszew is a lower secondary school in the central part of Poland, 35 km from the Capital. It provides students with general knowledge education. The school is situated in the countryside. It is attended by 240 students from the nearest villages. In many cases students come from poor background because of high unemployment rate in the region. A lot of families in this area earn a living with small farms, others commute to the nearby towns or to Warsaw. Therefore, the participation in such a project will provide the students with opportunities for broadening their minds in many aspects. The school building is brand new, well equipped and has good conditions for organising common project meetings. The school teaches two foreign languages (5 hours weekly) – English and German and employs 5 language teachers.
